The trails on Kelleys Island consist of a network of paths on state, village, and other public lands.  These include trails for hiking, biking, as well as mixed use, as shown on the map.  See a downed tree or flooding on the trail?  Please report it below so we can add it to the trail report and address the issue!

6/11/2024Mid-summer trail maintenance is complete – you should find all of the East Quarry singletrack trails to be free and clear of both vegetation and downed trees, and the ODNR and Village Park folks have been busy mowing in the Curilla Preserve, and the East and North Quarry. Trails are in their summer prime – enjoy!
5/20/2024– Woodford entrance to East quarry near Monaghan has been mowed and whacked north to Horseshoe lake
– Lilac trail is clear
– West Quarry trails in the Ed Curilla Preserve have been mowed (thanks Chris)! There is now a tree bridge on the trail!
5/15/2024– All the trails on the north side of East Quarry have been trimmed and cleared!
5/10/2024– North Shore loop trees have been cleared
– Still some standing water in some spots
– Woodford and other East rim trails overgrown; trail maintenance is planned for later this month
– Long Point is still Blocked by trees
– Woodford road entrance trail to East Quarry has a tree down near where it meets the quarry

3/9/2023– Lots of standing water is also affecting Scheele Preserve trail
– The Long Point trail is blocked by trees.
2/22/24All trails open with a bit of standing water in some places with 2 exceptions:
– The East Quarry doubletrack trail is impassible between the “U” and “W” markers where it exits to Division St.

The North Shore Loop has 2 trees down but is passable.
1/14/24East Quarry Rim trail is very icy. Other trails are passable, but beware long sections of ice. Long Point Hiking path has several trees down and blocking it.
9/20/23All Trails open and clear including North Shore Loop
9/10/23All trails open; North Shore loop still not passable due to downed trees
East Quarry:
